Promoting Peace

Peaceful Schools A workshop series for adolescent students in grades 7-12, based upon the foundations of the Peaceful People Program. Promoting the Peace is an activity-based series focused on the skills needed to interact with others at home, school and in the greater community.

The following list highlights the themes of some of the individual lesson plans available in the Promoting the Peace Curriculum:

A Sense of Belonging: Communities you Choose, Communities that Choose you

Giving Respect: Treating others the way they want to be treated

The Family System: Learning to solve problems at home

Money and Conflict: Recognizing the impact of irresponsible spending

Color My Emotions: Understanding emotion and why we all react differently

Anger: Triggers, cues and costs

Stress: Somewhat traumatic response to everyday situations
